Heads up, Republicans
So I guess the Republican playbook is for Trump to break lots of laws and traditions and then pardon everyone who helped him. Of course, at some point, we will have a Democratic president, and all of the following will be within reach unless Congress fixes things:
ICE: fire every employee, release every prisoner, and use the money saved to compensate the victims of ICE. Repatriate everyone deported illegally. Instruct the Justice Department to prosecute as many ICE officers as possible. There should be lots of excess funds, so use that for social programs.
Justice Department: fire everyone hired under Trump. Prosecute anyone who misused their office, including apparatchick. Use the department to trump up charges against political enemies and useless conservatives on the Supreme Court.
FBI: fire everyone hired under Trump. Prosecute anyone who misused their office, including Keystone Kashyap Pramod Patel. Deem MAGA a terrorist organization and direct all agencies to investigate everyone they arrest to see if they are members or have made donations.
IRS: weaponize the IRS to make life hell for prominent Republicans.
Military: prosecute everyone involved in killing civilians in boats and use money earmarked for the military to compensate their families. Garnish military expenditures to pay for social programs.
Media: Fine ABC for pulling Kimmel and for settling a lawsuit with Trump, claw back the settlement and use it for social programs, fine CBS for firing Colbert. Also, prosecute Brendan Carr. Also, use the Federal Communications Commission Chair to shut down Fox News, Sinclair Broadcast Group, etc.
Dirty deals: Relinquish the “golden share” in U.S. steel and pay compensation to shareholders. Unwind any mergers obtained via dirty deals with Trump and extract reimbursement from Trump. Extract money from any money Trump made by blackmailing foreign countries. Take his plane from him and sell it and punish Qatar for bribery.
Various programs: restore all congressionally mandated programs and fund them using funding from the military and ICE.
Government websites: Weaponize them to promote rational, anti-MAGA messages.
Tariffs: Revoke all of them.
Trump executive orders: Revoke them.
If Congress objects, let them pass permanent laws.
